What Is Morton’s Neuroma?
A painful condition that affects the ball of your foot. Morton’s neuroma may feel as if you are standing on a pebble in your shoe or on a fold in your sock. The tissue around one of the nerves leading to your toes thickens causing a sharp, burning pain in the ball of your foot.
Causes of Morton’s Neuroma
Any kind of pressure to one of your nerves that leads to your toes can cause morton’s neuroma.
Risk factors also incluse:
- High Heels
- Certain Sports
- Foot Deformities
Symptoms of Morton’s Neuroma
- A feeling as if you’re standing on a pebble in your shoe
- A burning pain in the ball of your foot that may radiate into your toes
- Tingling or numbness in your toes
